NewScience (NyNaturfag) is a project in the Kata Foundation and its goal is to inspire the nation's schools to redesign their science classrooms using a special interior design concept, which supports a more experimental and contemporary form of teaching.
It’s about moving away from classic frontal teaching to a teaching form which offers far more hands-on experiences and contributes to greater involvement in the science subjects.
The science house is a prototype of this concept. It is an exemplary science classroom which has been adapted to the interior design concept. The purpose of the prototype is to demonstrate how we refurbish the Danish science classrooms to increase the joy of science and at the same time, strengthen subject knowledge.
